I’m Charlie - a regular guy with a wife, a job and a couple of weeks of vacation every year.

I call my site Travel Blur because that’s how experiencing other cultures impacts the way I see the world. Travel blurs my way of thinking, fuzzies my preconceptions and helps me to embrace cultural differences instead of judging them.

Not all of us get to travel as much as we’d like, so we must make the most of our journeys and explore this big world wisely. On this site, I share my experiences over the last decade visiting almost 40 countries spread across four continents and a few islands. I tell you what I liked, what I didn’t and review a few hotels, restaurants, travel guides and travel products along the way. From time to time I also call on friends and fellow travelers to lend their voices and varied perspectives on their own journeys as well.
